Research on contemporary pagan witchcraft 'zine' culture...

Over the past week two researchers from the Netherlands have been delving into the Museum's spectacular collection of magazines that reflect the fertile and diverse culture of paganism and witchcraft in Britain (and beyond) in the twentieth century...

Leon van Gulik (right) and Leonard van 't Hul are working on a project about contemporary pagan witchcraft and they were astounded by the quality of the collections at the Museum.  They will also provide us with a very handy list of the publications and the topics therein - which has already helped other researchers working on apparitions, faeries and vampires!

The outcome of their research will form a publication and a seminar at an upcoming conference in Finland - details to follow...

You can view Leon's blog (in English) here:  http://www.leonvangulik.nl/

The list will be really useful. They seemed like a nice couple of chaps and they were very kind in sending stuff on to us after we met
