Yesterday at 2.30, the Atlantis Bookshop in London, hosted a signing for Michael Howard's latest book, 'The Witches' Herbal', published by Red Thread Books. Michael has been a firm supporter of the museum for many years and was joined by Kerriann for the event. The book looks at the magical side of Herbalism and contains a wealth of information, a herbal and plant glossary for plants found in the UK and notes on their magical, folkloric and medicinal significance. Copies can be bought from Atlantis Bookshop and also here - http://www.redthreadbooks.co.uk/new-books-in-stock.html
As part of the event, there was also a meet and greet with the new director of the museum, Simon Costin. Simon discussed future plans for the Museum of Witchcraft and was on hand to answer any questions. The event was very well attended and we would like to thank both Geraldine and Bali Beskin for hosting the event and supplying copious amounts of tea and cakes!
The Museum is currently rated in the top three visitor attractions in Cornwall by Tripadvisor. Come visit us and find out why we're so popular!"

Shadwell Shams
My attention was drawn to today's entry on the Spitalfields Life blog. It casts light on an item in the Museum's collection and gives some interesting background information.
